Eran Wickramaratne, the head of the Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee, has confirmed that a new governing constitution will be enacted by the end of 2026. This legislative overhaul, expected to be finalized within a month, aims to reform the administrative structure and curb corrupt election practices.
Despite the transition, the committee maintains full backing from the International Cricket Council, ensuring that financial disbursements continue as planned. The interim body, which took over in April after the previous administration stepped down, is currently prioritizing fiscal responsibility and the redirection of resources toward grassroots and women's cricket development.
