Seahawks announce Quenton Nelson trade, waive G Christian Haynes

The Seattle Seahawks have finalized a deal to acquire offensive lineman Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts. To complete the transaction, Seattle is parting with a third-round selection in 2027 and a fifth-round pick in 2028, pending a successful physical examination for the veteran guard.

To accommodate the new arrival, the team released tight end Josiah Deguara. Additionally, the Seahawks designated Christian Haynes for release, ending the rookie's tenure after he appeared in 31 contests and started five games this year during Anthony Bradford's absence.

Haynes remains eligible to be signed to the practice squad if he clears the waiver process.
