Deion Sanders Says He Was Joking About Offering Money To Silence Critics

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders clarified that remarks regarding a potential $50,000 payment to silence media critics were intended as humor. The topic emerged after associate Christopher Neely suggested on an internet program that Sanders had offered such a deal to detractors.

During a press conference, Sanders explained he was merely highlighting how some individuals profit from his brand, emphasizing that he does not actually pay people to stop criticizing him. The Buffaloes are currently preparing for an upcoming matchup against Kansas State following a five-game losing streak that has left the team with a 2-5 record this season.
