Sarina stays, the Golden Goggles & Van de Donk's flying form

England women’s football manager Sarina Wiegman has secured a two-year extension to her contract, ensuring her leadership remains in place through at least 2028. The move comes as the BBC Sport podcast *Radio 5 Live Football Weekly* also introduced the inaugural ‘Golden Goggles’ award, recognizing the most spectacular celebration of the week—a nod to the flair and drama that define modern women’s football.

The show also spotlighted standout performances in the Women’s Super League, with Chelsea’s Lauren James, London City Lionesses’ Daniëlle van de Donk, and Arsenal’s Océane Hurtré highlighted for their impact. Meanwhile, anticipation builds for this weekend’s high-profile derbies, including clashes in North London and Manchester, as the season’s competitive intensity continues to rise.
