PSL 2027 auction set for January 23 as China emerges as possible venue

The Pakistan Cricket Board has scheduled the player auction for the 12th season of the Pakistan Super League on January 23, 2027. While the league is set to host matches across Pakistan with the final at Gaddafi Stadium, officials are considering a proposal to move the auction event to China.

Ahead of this, franchises have entered a direct signing window that runs through November 23, 2026, allowing each team to recruit one marquee player who did not participate in the previous two seasons. The board is also preparing a workshop to finalize auction protocols and has designated the National T20 Gold and Silver tournaments as primary talent-scouting platforms.
