Ronaldo wants Portugal 'punishment' but not retiring

Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed his intention to continue his international career despite departing the Portugal training camp prematurely. The veteran forward acknowledged that he violated the trust of his manager and insisted that the national football federation should impose disciplinary measures for his exit, which followed disputes regarding his playing time against Norway and Denmark.

Ronaldo, who holds records for 234 caps and 146 goals for his country, claims that head coach Jorge Jesus failed to honor prior agreements regarding his involvement in those matches. While the player remains critical of the coach's communication, he stated his readiness to return to the squad once his suspension concludes.

Jorge Jesus has indicated that the opportunity for the captain to represent the national team again remains available.
