Roger Federer Shares Heartfelt Message for Stan Wawrinka After Emotional Tennis Retirement

Stan Wawrinka concluded his professional tennis career following a 7-5, 7-6(2) loss to Jiri Lehecka at the Swiss Indoors Basel. The three-time Grand Slam champion, who secured major titles at the 2014 Australian Open, 2015 French Open, and 2016 US Open, retired after over two decades on the circuit.

Roger Federer honored his compatriot and longtime friend via social media, specifically recalling their 2008 Beijing Olympics doubles gold medal win. While Federer held a 23-3 record against Wawrinka during their professional rivalry, he acknowledged Wawrinka's significant contributions to the sport and their shared history on the court.
