Awkward Matteo Berrettini interview fuels wild relationship speculation: ‘Is this live?’

Matteo Berrettini sparked rumors of a personal rift during a post-match interview at the Erste Bank Open, where he reacted with visible hesitation when asked about Lorenzo Musetti's recent tournament victory in France. Following the exchange, observers noted that Berrettini has unfollowed Musetti on social media, fueling speculation regarding their former friendship and potential ties to Berrettini's past relationship with Vanessa Bellini.

While Musetti remains part of the Italian Davis Cup squad, Berrettini was excluded from the current roster, a decision team captain Filippo Volandri attributed to official player rankings. The two athletes are currently competing in Vienna, where they could potentially face each other in the tournament semifinals.
