Rockets waive two-way center Rafael Castro

The Houston Rockets have released twenty-three-year-old center Rafael Castro from his recently signed two-way deal. Head coach Ime Udoka pointed to a crowded frontcourt in training camp, which includes Oscar Tshiebwe, as the primary reason for the unexpected roster move.

Before landing in Houston as a free agent following summer stints with the Milwaukee Bucks, Castro went undrafted despite impressive measurements at the NBA Draft Combine. The organization is currently weighing several options to fill the newly vacated third two-way roster slot.
