Ranji Trophy: Siddhesh Lad guides Mumbai after Rohit Dhanda’s strikes

Mumbai finished the opening day of their Ranji Trophy match against Chandigarh at 249/5. Captain Siddhesh Lad anchored the innings with an unbeaten 80, while Musheer Khan contributed 65 runs to the total.

Chandigarh bowler Rohit Dhanda proved effective, claiming three wickets for 44 runs to keep his side in the contest.

After being put in to bat, Mumbai struggled for momentum as Yashasvi Jaiswal departed for a duck. Ayush Mhatre added 48, and a late 65-run partnership between Lad and Shams Mulani helped stabilize the score by stumps.

Dhanda was instrumental in removing key batters, including Musheer and Sarfaraz Khan, while Nishunk Birla also picked up a wicket.
