Playoff Roundup: Misiorowski, Yelich strike early in Brewers’ Game 1 win

The Milwaukee Brewers secured a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in the opening game of the 2026 World Series. Jacob Misiorowski navigated five innings of work, supported by a bullpen effort from Abner Uribe, Aaron Ashby, and Trevor Megill to maintain the narrow lead.

Milwaukee capitalized on early offensive opportunities, highlighted by a first-inning RBI hit from Christian Yelich following a leadoff single by Jackson Chourio. Despite early traffic on the basepaths, Misiorowski utilized a double play induced by Junior Caminero to escape trouble, while the defense helped him limit the Rays to two runs.
