Jackson stars with two goals - player ratings for Aston Villa v Man City

Nicolas Jackson delivered a standout performance for Aston Villa, netting two goals to secure a victory against Manchester City. His clinical finishing, including a high strike and a composed second effort, proved decisive in a match where Ibrahim Mbaye also contributed by setting up the final goal.

John McGinn played a pivotal role by orchestrating the opening goal after dispossessing Marc Guehi, while Zion Suzuki anchored the defense with several key saves against City's attacking threats. Despite an equalizer from Erling Haaland assisted by Iliman Ndiaye, City struggled to contain the hosts throughout the contest.

Defensive errors from Guehi and Gianluigi Donnarumma further hampered the visitors, leaving them unable to overcome the pressure applied by the Villa midfield.
