Player Grades: Cavs at Sixers – A tough debut for Peyton Watson

Cleveland dropped their season opener in a fashion reminiscent of their previous postseason exit. Despite a strong start from Donovan Mitchell, who recorded 32 points and 10 rebounds, the Cavaliers could not maintain their early momentum.

Mario Hezonja provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and solid defensive play, while Jarrett Allen added 14 points in the first half before being held scoreless after the break. Peyton Watson struggled significantly in his debut, finishing with 8 points and 5 turnovers as Philadelphia exploited his lack of floor spacing.
