‘Slow news day at the office’: LeBron James shrugs off Trump’s national anthem attack

President Donald Trump publicly rebuked NBA star LeBron James, labeling him a “total disgrace” and demanding an apology after the player appeared to stretch during the national anthem. Trump shared a clip showing James doing warm‑up motions alongside his Philadelphia 76ers teammates before their season‑opening game against the New York Knicks.

Earlier in the season, James was instrumental in the Sixers’ comeback, helping Philadelphia overturn a 29‑point hole to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers.
