Penn State Fired James Franklin for This? Matt Campbell’s Honeymoon Is Already Over

Matt Campbell and the Nittany Lions suffered an uncomfortable home defeat over the weekend, surrendering a massive seventeen-point advantage to fall twenty-four to twenty to Wisconsin. The offense stalled completely after the intermission, totaling just two hundred forty-eight yards while quarterback Rocco Becht completed only twelve of twenty-nine attempts.

Meanwhile, former leader James Franklin successfully guided his new squad at Virginia Tech to an unblemished four and zero record following a tight road victory in adverse weather conditions. The early struggles under the new staff have already stirred restlessness among supporters who expected the program to immediately eliminate this exact style of collapse.
