The Pakistan Cricket Board has instituted a controversial policy requiring national athletes to personally pay a ten-thousand-dollar fee out of their own pockets to secure clearance for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 tournament. Numerous players from the country had previously secured franchise agreements for the competition, which is scheduled to run through the middle of November, but their availability remains in question due to this financial hurdle.
This development follows earlier disputes where league organizers accused the governing body of making last-minute demands for financial compensation in exchange for clearance certificates. Prominent athletes listed among those affected by these franchise contracts include Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Irshad, Sufyan Moqim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Abbas Afridi, and Faheem Ashraf.
