How Antonelli demolished Russell in the same car

Kimi Antonelli has secured the Formula 1 driver championship four rounds ahead of schedule after a remarkably dominant campaign. He holds a massive 130-point advantage over his Mercedes colleague, having claimed nine race wins and sixteen podium finishes compared to just three victories and eight podiums for his teammate.

George Russell opened the year with a victory at the Australian grand prix, but ultimately struggled to match the pace of his younger garage partner as the season progressed. Although qualifying battles remained close with Antonelli leading fifty-eight sessions to fifty-one and holding a narrow median margin in Q3 and SQ3, Sunday races proved to be heavily lopsided.
