Chicago Cubs News: Pete Crow-Armstrong MVP, Seiya Suzuki qualifying offer, Tarik Skubal, Jacob Webb extension

The Chicago Cubs have been active in the early offseason, headlined by Pete Crow-Armstrong earning recognition as a finalist for the National League MVP award. The organization also secured right-handed pitcher Jacob Webb on a one-year deal that includes a club option for 2028, while adding Eric Orze to the bullpen via a waiver claim from the Minnesota Twins.

Additionally, Seiya Suzuki has been extended a one-year qualifying offer valued at $23.15 million. While the front office has expressed interest in pursuing elite free agent starter Tarik Skubal, reports suggest the team remains hesitant to meet the massive financial requirements likely needed to land him.
