Pakistan Clinch First ODI Tri-Series Title Since 2008

Pakistan captured their first ODI tri-series trophy in seventeen years by successfully chasing down a target of 326 against Sri Lanka. Fakhar Zaman led the effort with a century, while Saad Baig and Arafat Minhas contributed significant scores to help the hosts reach 331 runs with nine balls remaining.

This result marks a major turnaround for the team following their previous loss in the 2025 home final against New Zealand. Sri Lanka had set a competitive total of 325 for eight, anchored by a 146-run partnership between Kamindu Mendis and Pavan Rathnayake.

Despite early breakthroughs from Dilshan Madushanka, including the dismissal of Babar Azam, Pakistan managed to secure the victory in a high-scoring contest.
