North Carolina recovers two onside kicks, but both are overturned by penalties as No. 1 Miami stays undefeated

The top-ranked Miami Hurricanes defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels 38-35 in a Week 9 contest, extending their undefeated record to 8-0. Although UNC generated 407 total yards and scored five touchdowns, a late error prevented them from securing an upset against the nation's number one team.

The game took place in Chapel Hill on Halloween night, marking a significant moment in the ACC rivalry where Miami had previously lost five consecutive meetings.
