Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by three wickets in the One-Day International tri-series final in Lahore, completing a record-equalling chase of 326 runs. The hosts finished on 331 for seven in 48.3 overs, with nine balls remaining, to match the target India set against England in the 2002 NatWest Series final at Lord's.
This victory ended a 15-year drought for an ODI tri-series title for Pakistan, who last claimed such a trophy in 2008.
Fakhar Zaman anchored the innings with a century, scoring 127 off 99 balls to reach his 12th ODI hundred. He shared a 149-run partnership with Saad Baig, who contributed 74 off 75 balls for his first ODI fifty.
After Sri Lanka posted 325 for eight, led by Kamindu Mendis's 131, Pakistan's chase was secured by a 94-run stand between Arafat Minhas and Hasan Nawaz, with Minhas adding a crucial half-century.
