Padres make quick work of Cubs to sweep Wild Card Series

San Diego advanced to the National League Division Series after sweeping the Chicago Cubs in two games at Petco Park on Wednesday night. Gavin Sheets, who spent September recovering from a plantar plate tear and a walking boot, came off the bench to hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run that secured a 4-1 victory.

The Padres will now face the Milwaukee Brewers, who finished with the best record in the Majors and hold Jacob Misiorowski ready for Game 1 on Saturday night.
