Oregon’s offense found its footing in a hard-fought 34–26 victory over Northwestern on Saturday, with a late-game touchdown to wide receiver Dakorien Moore sealing the Ducks’ comeback. Moore, who had been dealing with injury concerns after taking a significant hit earlier in the game, still managed to haul in two touchdowns and finish with 128 receiving yards.
Oregon’s offensive coordinator Jay Johnson, who took over midseason, orchestrated a second-half surge that turned the game around after the Wildcats led 20–13 at halftime. Quarterback Raiola threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns, with Moore as the primary target, as the Ducks climbed to a 5–3 record and kept their playoff hopes alive in a crowded 24-team field.
Coach Dan Lanning shared an optimistic update on Moore’s status postgame, noting the receiver’s resilience despite the hit. Moore reportedly told Lanning he was ready to return immediately, though the coach acknowledged the need for a brief rest.
Northwestern’s offense, led by Aidan Chiles and receiver Griffin Wilde, dominated early, but Oregon’s defense and offense adjusted to close out the win. The Ducks’ late rally, capped by Moore’s clutch play, provided a much-needed morale boost for a program that had faced skepticism earlier in the season.
