Oklahoma expected to promote Jason Witten to offensive coordinator after Ben Arbuckle firing

Oklahoma is poised to elevate tight ends coach Jason Witten into the offensive coordinator position following the dismissal of Ben Arbuckle. Witten previously spent five seasons leading the program at Liberty Christian High School in Argyle, Texas, securing two state titles and an impressive twenty-six to one record across the twenty-twenty-three and twenty-twenty-four campaigns.

Former Sooners coordinator and veteran analyst Kevin Wilson is slated to provide assistance during this massive transition from Texas private school playcalling to the Southeastern Conference. Witten previously enjoyed a storied NFL career earning eleven Pro Bowl nods with the Dallas Cowboys before moving into coaching to guide his son Cooper, who is a five-star linebacker pledged to the Sooners for the class of twenty-twenty-seven.
