FSU interim head coach Rick Stockstill: “Don’t give up, stay loyal to Florida State”

Following the departure of Mike Norvell, Rick Stockstill has stepped in as the interim head coach for Florida State. During his initial media availability, Stockstill emphasized a commitment to winning immediately while acknowledging the program is currently navigating a difficult stretch.

He confirmed that Ernie Sims will lead the defense and Tim Harris will handle offensive play-calling duties as the team prepares for their upcoming matchup against Boston College. Stockstill urged the fanbase to maintain their support despite the team's current 3-5 record and recent struggles, expressing confidence that the program will eventually return to form.

The team is scheduled to hold their first full practice under his leadership on Tuesday morning.
