North Carolina HC Bill Belichick Frustrated by Run Defense in Loss to Notre Dame

Following a thirty-seven to twenty-six defeat against third-ranked Notre Dame, North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick expressed strong dissatisfaction with his squad's inability to stop the opponent's ground game. Despite playing before a crowd of fifty thousand five hundred at Kenan Stadium, the Tar Heels surrendered two hundred forty-one rushing yards and a touchdown on forty-five carries, alongside four passing scores from Fighting Irish quarterback CJ Carr.

The setback drops North Carolina to an even two and two record following an earlier loss to Clemson. The program now faces a difficult upcoming stretch with road matchups against an undefeated Pittsburgh squad and a four-and-zero Duke team in October.
