7 Tennessee football takeaways from win over Auburn with QB George MacIntyre

The seventeenth-ranked Volunteers adjusted their offensive strategy mid-game on October third, benching freshman starter Faizon Brandon in favor of George MacIntyre before the half. The shift sparked the squad to a twenty-four to fourteen victory over Auburn at home, lifting their record to four and one.

Running back DeSean Bishop capitalized on the loosened defensive front by carrying thirty-four times for a personal best two hundred twenty yards and three scores. Meanwhile, the defensive unit smothered the opposition, powered by Dejuan Lane who recorded nine tackles, two sacks, and an interception.
