South Carolina's Legends Golf Resort expanded its offerings with the debut of a new short course called The Piper, which opened on October 2. Crafted by architect Ken Baker across a 12-acre plot adjacent to the main clubhouse, the layout features nine holes ranging between 54 and 120 yards in length.
Designed to foster a modern, social atmosphere, the venue incorporates evening illumination, background audio, and a vintage British phone booth repurposed as the starting station.
Players can tackle the layout in flexible three-hole increments, adding to the facility's existing trio of full-scale layouts that includes the Moorland, Parkland, and Heathland tracks. Among those established links, Moorland and Heathland hold prominent positions within state rankings compiled by Golfweek's Best.
