Muriqi caps Fenerbahce comeback to make Liverpool pay for defensive lapses

Liverpool suffered their first Champions League defeat of the season after falling to a late loss against Fenerbahce in Istanbul. Despite taking the lead twice through Trey Nyoni and Alexander Isak, the visitors were unable to maintain their advantage as defensive errors proved costly under the guidance of Andoni Iraola.

Vedat Muriqi secured the win for the hosts, marking a successful start for interim manager Dirk Kuyt. The result compounds recent frustrations for Liverpool, following a disappointing performance from Bradley Barcola and a prior league loss to Arsenal.
