The Mountain West Conference is delivering thrilling performances this season, with standout individual efforts shining in Week 7. Utah State’s Aggies secured a dramatic 44–41 double-overtime victory over New Mexico, showcasing resilience in a hard-fought battle.

Meanwhile, the conference honored its top players, including first-time selections Torrance Burgess Jr., Kai Wallin, and Cooper DiLeva, alongside veteran Jesse Legree, who earned his seventh Player of the Week award. The Aggies, however, face ongoing offensive challenges ahead of their upcoming matchup against Texas State, as highlighted by recent analysis.

Elsewhere, Oregon State’s unexpected rise in college football has sparked debate, with the Beavers’ exclusion from the AP Top 25 drawing attention. The Pac-12 also recognized its weekly standouts, while New Mexico’s Lobos celebrated a new hire in their ticketing department, signaling momentum off the field.

The Mountain West’s competitive landscape continues to evolve, with teams like Air Force entering title conversations and New Mexico narrowly escaping an upset bid from Hawaiʻi.
