Auburn LB Xavier Atkins to enter transfer portal after reported dismissal from team

Auburn linebacker Xavier Atkins has been removed from the football program following a disciplinary suspension. The decision was finalized on Monday, shortly after the team secured a 27-24 victory against Georgia while Atkins remained sidelined.

Head coach Alex Golesh and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin will now adjust their defensive rotation to include Elijah Melendez, Bryce Deas, and De'Marcus Riddick for the upcoming game against LSU. Atkins had been absent from the roster during the upset win at Athens, and his departure marks the end of his tenure with the Tigers just six games into the season.
