Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has dismissed speculation regarding a potential stint in India's premier Twenty20 competition, confirming he bypassed registration for the upcoming player bidding event. Although the veteran athlete recently obtained British citizenship and entered another league's draft as a UK national, he verified from Dubai that entering the tournament is completely absent from his current schedule.
Having stepped away from international competition in 2024, the left-armer continues to participate in various global franchise circuits and plans to compete in Pakistan's domestic Twenty20 tournament next season as an overseas participant.
