Mikayla Harvey and Oliver Bleddyn set to strengthen Jayco-AlUla women’s and men’s rosters for next two years

October 8, 2026

Jayco-AlUla has announced two high-profile signings to bolster both its women’s and men’s WorldTour squads for the next two seasons. Mikayla Harvey, a 28-year-old New Zealand climber with experience at teams like SD Worx-Protime and UAE Team ADQ, joins the women’s team after a season marked by inconsistency, including crashes at the Giro d’Italia Women and the Faun Tour Femmes.

Known for her ability to support leaders in hilly stages and contribute in breakaways, Harvey expressed enthusiasm for regaining a more prominent role in races, aiming to compete for victories rather than just domestique duties. The team’s head sport director, Wim Stroetinga, highlighted her talent and ambition, suggesting she will now have clearer opportunities to race for her own ambitions next season.

On the men’s side, Australian track specialist Oliver Bleddyn—best known for his Olympic gold in the Team Pursuit at the Paris Games—has signed a two-year deal, combining his road experience with Jayco-AlUla’s squad. The 24-year-old, who finished second in the time trial at both the Australian and Oceania championships this year, joined the team as a stagiaire in August and completed the Arctic Race of Norway before struggling in late-season Italian Classics.

Bleddyn, praised by the team’s head of performance, Gene Bates, for his powerful engine and enthusiasm, has set his sights on racing the Tour Down Under next year, calling it a special opportunity to compete at home with the squad.
