Preview: Buffalo Sabres vs Dallas Stars — Oct 8

The Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Stars meet in a high-stakes NHL clash on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with the puck dropping at 11:00 PM UTC. Both teams arrive in top form, each boasting identical 50-win records this season, though Buffalo’s nine-game point streak offers a slight edge in consistency.

The Sabres, who have shown resilience with just three losses in their last 32 games, will look to maintain their momentum against a Stars side that has quietly matched their success with a slightly more varied record. With neither team showing signs of slowing down, this matchup promises to be a battle of depth and execution as the league’s elite continue their push toward the postseason.
