Luzardo activated off IL for Game 162; Urquidy DFA'd

The Philadelphia Phillies reinstated left-handed pitcher Jesús Luzardo from the 15-day injured list prior to their matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. To accommodate the roster move, right-handed pitcher José Urquidy was designated for assignment, as announced by President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski.

Luzardo returns following a stellar campaign where he accumulated a 14-5 record, a 2.87 ERA, and 221 strikeouts across 29 starts, earning National League Pitcher of the Month honors for August and securing his second consecutive season with at least 200 strikeouts. Urquidy departs the 28-man roster after making two appearances for Philadelphia following a September waiver claim from the Chicago White Sox.
