Following his release by the Los Angeles Lakers, Dalton Knecht has secured a fresh opportunity by signing a two-way contract with the New York Knicks. The former Tennessee standout, who will sport jersey number 99, will split his time between the NBA roster and the organization's G-League affiliate.
During his tenure in Los Angeles, Knecht participated in 132 contests, including 16 starts, while maintaining a 36.8 percent success rate from beyond the arc. His departure from the Lakers came after a previously arranged trade involving Charlotte center Mark Williams collapsed due to a failed physical examination.
Prior to his professional career, Knecht gained recognition for a standout offensive campaign at Tennessee, where he averaged 21.7 points per game and led the Volunteers to an Elite Eight appearance.
