Lions top Packers in wild slugfest on Jake Bates' last-second field goal

Detroit secured a narrow 20-17 victory over Green Bay in a physical divisional clash. Jake Bates provided the winning margin with a field goal in the closing seconds after the Lions defense successfully stifled the Packers late in the game.

Brian Branch made a significant impact in his return, while Jared Goff connected with Jameson Williams for two scores to help overcome early ball-security issues. Jahmyr Gibbs contributed 143 total yards to the winning effort, moving Detroit to a 4-2 record.

Green Bay, led by Josh Jacobs who recorded a touchdown reception, falls to 4-3 despite an aggressive early approach that included multiple fourth-down conversions.
