Lincoln Riley Pulls a Bizarre Scripted Postgame Move After USC’s Win Over Ohio State

Following a stunning thirty to eighteen upset over second-ranked Ohio State at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, USC head coach Lincoln Riley surprised reporters by reading prepared remarks at his postgame press conference. The unusual closing statement reinforced his belief in his own leadership after weeks of scrutiny stemming from a twenty-four to seven loss to Wisconsin a week prior, emphasizing that the program relies on internal support rather than outside praise.

Stellar performances from freshman wide receiver Trent Mosley, freshman tight end Mark Bowman, and quarterback Jayden Maiava propelled the Trojans to their first triumph against a top-ten opponent of Riley's tenure.

Earlier in late December, Riley also appeared alongside TCU head coach Sonny Dykes for a joint media availability session at the Alamodome located in San Antonio, Texas, ahead of the Valero Alamo Bowl.
