Lamine Yamal makes history as ruthless Barça end Aston Villa's perfect UCL start

Barcelona handed Aston Villa their first Champions League defeat of the campaign with a dominant 3-0 victory. Lamine Yamal initiated the scoring early, securing his 14th goal in the tournament to become the competition's most prolific teenage scorer.

Raphinha further cemented the result by netting twice after the interval, bringing his personal tally to 19 goals across all competitions this season.

The outcome leaves both clubs tied on nine points in the standings. While the visitors attempted to respond through opportunities for Matty Cash, João Gomes, and Johan Manzambi, they were unable to overcome the hosts.

Hansi Flick now prepares his squad for a significant domestic matchup against Atlético Madrid following this successful recovery from recent league setbacks.
