Lakers’ Austin Reaves forced to take headband away from fan for most understandable reason

During the Los Angeles Lakers' 131-125 victory over the Toronto Raptors, Austin Reaves experienced a humorous interruption to his night. After believing he was finished for the evening with 1:43 remaining, Reaves gifted his headband to a spectator sitting near the bench.

However, a late surge by the Raptors forced coach JJ Redick to reinsert his starters into the contest with 44 seconds left on the clock. Reaves was required to retrieve his gear from the fan to return to the court and help finalize the win.

Redick noted he intends to avoid such premature substitutions in future matchups.
