Kirk Ferentz Says Iowa Will Need a Perfect Game to Upset Ohio State

Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz addressed the media regarding his team's upcoming matchup against Ohio State, stressing that the fourteenth-ranked Hawkeyes will need to play an immaculate contest to pull off an upset over the fifth-ranked Buckeyes. Ferentz specifically highlighted the threat posed by opposing receiver Jeremiah Smith, noting that the star playmaker frequently catches passes even when blanketed by defenders.

On the offensive side, Ferentz pointed out that his squad must improve its ground game through better blocking and running following a recent dip in rushing production, while also preparing for a tough defense led by coach Ryan Day. The highly anticipated clash is scheduled to take place with ESPN bringing College GameDay to Iowa City for the broadcast.
