Kasvankar, Misal rescue Goa after Vidarbha bowlers make early inroads

Yash Kasvankar (51 off 177 balls, four fours) and Darshan Misal (51 off 108 balls, five fours and a six) steadied Goa after they slumped to 84 for six in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A innings at the VCA Jamtha Stadium. Their partnership pushed the total to 204, with Kasvankar reaching his half‑century before stumps and Misal adding a six before his own fifty.

Vidarbha’s bowlers, led by Nachiket Bhute’s four‑for‑40, had early success, dismissing both openers inside two overs and later removing Manthan Khutkar and Abhinav Tejrana. Rajneesh Gurbani claimed two wickets, including a catch for Kasvankar’s fifty, while Parth Rekhade also took a wicket, but the middle order’s resistance ensured Goa avoided a collapse.
