Jeeno Thitikul returned to LPGA competition after a month away and immediately secured a share of the lead at the LOTTE Championship. Following an opening 67, she posted a 7-under 65 on Friday at Hoakalei Country Club to reach 12 under par through 36 holes.
Germany's Polly Mack joined Thitikul at the top of the leaderboard by birdieing the final hole, while Ina Yoon and Carolina Melgrati sit one stroke behind.
Notably, neither Thitikul nor Mack has carded a single bogey across the first two rounds. Thitikul attributed her sharp iron play and clean scorecards to a relaxing trip to Austria with her coach and sister during her tournament break.
To maintain her flawless card on Friday, she relied on a crucial up-and-down for par on the 17th hole before capitalizing on the par-5 18th with a birdie.
