Jason Candle says UConn football has to stop compounding mistakes after Miami (OH) loss

Following a recent defeat at Miami of Ohio, UConn head coach Jason Candle pointed out that his team struggled to recover from setbacks during the game, allowing a disputed defensive penalty to immediately turn into an explosive touchdown. Senior offensive lineman Ty Chan also noted that mental lapses and negative plays hindered the offense as a young roster continues to learn under a new coaching staff.

Despite holding opponents to twenty-four points, the Huskies failed to capitalize late in the game and now look ahead to facing Syracuse at home.
