‘We are holding one of our most talented players accountable’: Shane Beamer addresses Dylan Stewart suspension

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer recently addressed the indefinite suspension of star defensive end Dylan Stewart ahead of the team's matchup against Kentucky. Stewart faces discipline from both the Southeastern Conference and his own coach following an incident during a previous loss to Alabama where he struck an opposing player and yelled at members of the coaching staff.

While discussing the matter, Beamer emphasized the importance of maintaining team standards and enforcing accountability regardless of a player's draft status or talent level. The coach noted that no definitive timeline has been established for Stewart to rejoin the roster, stating that any potential return will depend on the player demonstrating that he has learned from the situation.
