victory in September. His undefeated performance (2-0-1) included a clutch singles win over Si Woo Kim, while his first PGA Tour victory came at the 3M Open in July during his third professional start.
Koivun’s addition follows Koepka’s announcement to join the league’s only expansion team, solidifying Motor City’s roster ahead of TGL’s third season, which kicks off December 27 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens.
Koivun, who has represented the U.S. in multiple international team events, praised the team-oriented nature of TGL, calling it an exciting way to grow the sport through an arena experience.
Michael Hamp, the club’s team governor, highlighted Koivun’s competitive edge and ability to thrive in high-pressure moments, describing him as a perfect fit for Motor City’s vision. With Koepka and Koivun now on board, the team aims to build a passionate fan base in Detroit while competing in TGL’s high-energy format.
