Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is inching closer to a return after nearly two years on the sidelines. Coach DeMeco Ryans indicated the team plans to activate Dell’s 21-day practice window, suggesting he could rejoin the active roster within the next three weeks.
Dell has been out since December 2024 after suffering a serious knee injury, which kept him off the field for the remainder of 2024 and all of 2025. His recovery faced another setback during this year’s training camp, adding uncertainty to his timeline.
Before the injury, Dell had established himself as a promising young player, recording 98 receptions for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first 25 career games. The Texans, currently struggling, would welcome his contributions back in the offense.
Ryans also confirmed the team will open practice windows for offensive tackle Braden Smith and defensive tackle Kayden McDonald.
