Is Purdue a MUST-WIN Game for Illinois This Weekend?

Illinois enters this Saturday's homecoming fixture against Purdue facing an unexpected must-win scenario following a rocky start to their campaign. Head coach Bret Bielema must steady the squad after parting ways with defensive coordinator Bobby Hauck in the wake of a heavy 42-19 defeat to Ohio State, a contest where defensive communication breakdowns were glaring.

Meanwhile, Purdue arrives searching for a conference breakthrough under coach Barry Odom, making Saturday's meeting critical for both sides.
