Iraola lauds Szoboszlai 'worldie' to seal win over Tottenham

Andoni Iraola commended Dominik Szoboszlai after the substitute produced a spectacular 30-yard strike to wrap up Liverpool's 3-1 Carabao Cup third-round triumph over Tottenham Hotspur. Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo had established an early lead for the hosts before Conor Gallagher responded for Spurs, but Szoboszlai's late contribution ultimately settled the contest and booked their spot in the fourth round.

The manager rotated heavily following a scoreless weekend stalemate against Fulham, handing starts to ten different players to inject vitality back into the squad. Iraola particularly highlighted the physical commitment of young contributors Trey Nyoni, Rio Ngumoha, and James McConnell, noting they completely exhausted themselves during their shifts to secure the victory.
