After being left out of the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, Madhya Pradesh spinner Saransh Jain delivered a career-best bowling performance in the Ranji Trophy. He claimed seven wickets for just 40 runs in 13 overs to dismiss Bihar for a total of 99 runs on Monday.
The 33-year-old bowler tore through the opposing batting order, removing Ayush Loharuka, Sakibul Gani, Akash Raj, Raghuvendra Pratap Singh, Aditya Raj, Suraj Kashyap, and Himanshu Singh. Jain previously made his Test debut for India earlier this year during the series against Sri Lanka.
